Eton Mess Cake all naked

Fruit makes all things more delicious.
I've grown very fond of the 1, 2, 3, 4 Cake.

I made it again, one recipe in 2-9inch pans, split in half for 4 layers.

I made meringues, and a whipped cream+cream cheese frosting. The cream cheese keeps the whipped cream stable on a hot summer day, when you know the cake is going to be sitting on the counter for a time before being sliced. The strawberries inspired the whole thing since Zoe's little garden was brimming with them.

The real dessert, Eton Mess, is actually a parfait style dessert of broken meringues, whipped cream and berries that one eats with a spoon. I'm sure that would be totally delicious too.

Essentially, layer the frosting, fruit and broken up bit of meringues, ending with the prettiest on top.

  1. Gorgeous place, I just went here with someone. The event halls for rent were beautiful and spacious, the seats were comfortable and wide. From where I was sitting at least, the views were great. I think the music really did a great job of filling up the space.

  3. This Eton Mess Cake post is such a delight — the whipped cream, juicy berries, and crunchy meringue feel joyful and light. Your writing captures the playful, messy beauty of dessert with such warmth. It’s the kind of treat that pairs perfectly with a relaxed morning, just like ordering something cozy and satisfying off wendy's breakfast menu. Thanks for sharing this beautifully imperfect cake!
